Yesterday, members of the Jasper Police Department conducted a drug investigation at 3828 N Portersville Road Lot #96, due to complaints of drug activity. Upon investigation, a search of the residence was conducted with the consent of the homeowner.
At the completion of the search, Officers located several containers of marijuana wax, raw marijuana, paraphernalia, and approximately $1,800 in cash. The items were found to belong to a female living at the residence, identified as Karla Alcantara.
Alcantara was arrested and transported to the Dubois County Security Center. Alcantara was charged with Maintaining a Common Nuisance (Level 6 Felony), Dealing in Marijuana, hash oil, hashish or salvia (Class A Misdemeanor), Possession of Marijuana (Class B Misdemeanor), and Possession of Paraphernalia (Class C Misdemeanor).
