WHS VOLLEYBALL defeated Bloomfield in straight sets 25-14, 25-6, 25-19. Congratulations to Kenna Garland who recorded her 1,000th career assist tonight. Ella Williams finished with 11 kills for the Hatchets.
After surpassing Ann Ackerman’s record a few weeks ago, Coach Shelly Lengacher seeks her 200th win on Thursday at home against Forest Park. The Lady Lions and Coach Lengacher tonight at JBA, JV @ 6, and Varsity follows.
 
The North Daviess Junior varsity football team traveled to Tecumseh and came back with an 18 to 7 win. The Jr High Cougars went to Paoli and brought home a 14-0 win.
 
The Barr-Reeve Tennis team beat South Knox 5-0 on Wednesday night to go 11-2 on the season. Their next match will be vs North Daviess on tonight.

The Washington Catholic girls soccer team hosted Vincennes Lincoln last night at Reese Field and played to a hard fought 3-3 tie. WC’s Angela Santiago scored the first goal of the game but Vincennes quickly answered back to tie the game 1-1 at half. Vincennes opened the second with two well placed scores to take the lead 3-1. WC’s offense came to life with 11 minutes left when WC senior Mya Cline scored by beating her defender and placing the ball into the right side of the net. After receiving a well placed pass from fellow senior Ella Grissom, Cline would score her second and the games final goal at the 4 minute mark to end the game in a tie. Up next for WC is 9-1 Sullivan at Sullivan 7:00pm tonight.
The Barr Reeve Lady Vikings golf team were in action at High Point Country Club in Bicknell on Wednesday. Vikings come away with two wins over North Knox and Eastern Greene shooting 185. The Lady Vikings were led by Braylee Knepp with a 41 and move there overall record to 43 and 13 on the season. They travel back to Bicknell tomorrow night in preparation of next Saturday’s sectional.
 
The National Football League gets the 2022-23 season started tonight as the Buffalo Bills travel to SoFi Stadium in Inglewood to battle the Los Angeles Rams. The Bills come into the game as a 2 1/2 point favorite.
 
The Indianapolis Colts announced 7 team captains for the 2022 campaign, and they are as follows: Quenton Nelson, Zaire Franklin, DeForest Buckner, Matt Ryan, Shaquille Leonard, Jonathan Taylor, and Kenny Moore II:
