Laura Frances  (Wagler) Nicholson

Laura Frances  (Wagler) Nicholson , 77, passed away on Sunday, September 4th, 2022 with her family by her side.
Laura was born in Daviess County on February 15th , 1945 to the late Herman and Verda (Thuss) Wagler.
Church was a big part of her life as well as her relationship with the Lord. She was a member of God’s Church Everywhere so she attended many churches in her lifetime until she couldn’t attend anymore.
She was a housewife and a mother. She did some house cleaning for people when she was younger. She enjoyed gardening, painting, sewing, reading and doing puzzles. She also loved animals and being outdoors, but especially loved spending time with her family.
Those left to cherish her memory include three daughters; Martha (Marvin) Mehler- Illinois; Bonnie (Mark) East-Otwell; Amanda (Elijah) Kelley and two sons ; Dean Nicholson- Odon; Paul York- Huntingburg and 7 grandchildren.
She also survived by three sisters; Anna Greentree-Montgomery; Mary Knepp-Montgomery; Alta Trowbridge-Washington; and one brother Joe Wagler- Vincennes. She also has many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, and a son-in-law, James Baker, Jr.
Laura was preceded in death by; her parents, husband, John Nicholson, and a daughter, Connie Baker.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 9th, 2022 from 4-8 at Fredrick and Son-Gill Funeral Home. Service will follow also at the funeral home  at 1pm on Saturday, September 10th,2022 with Eddie Graber officiating. There will be an hour of viewing prior to service. Burial will follow at Sugarland Memorial Gardens. The family welcomes online condolences to be left at www.gillsince1872.com.
