The Barr Reeve Middle School boys’ varsity soccer team hosted Wood Memorial last night. The Vikings came away with a 7-2 victory with hat tricks (3 goals scored) each by Nathaniel Keller and Landon Gallagher, while William McCain also finished with a goal.

White Sox manager Tony La Russa is out indefinitely as he undergoes medical tests in Arizona, according to the team on Wednesday. After participating in regular pregame activities, La Russa, 77, missed Tuesday night’s game against the Kansas City Royals. Within an hour of the first pitch, doctors advised him not to manage. Bench coach Miguel Cairo will continue to manage until La Russa returns. He was at the helm for Tuesday’s 9-7 loss to the Royals, Chicago’s fifth consecutive defeat.
