Vicki Elkins

Vicki Elkins, known as Aunt Vic to all, age 68 of Nashville, TN and formerly of Vincennes, IN passed away at her home Tuesday July 12, 2022, preceded by her husband of 46 years, and high school sweetheart Kenny Elkins.
Funeral services will be 1 to 3 p.m. on Friday July 22 at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 524 Broadway St. Born on Feb 20, 1954. she was the daughter of Harold Goff and Mildred Ikemire.
Surviving are her son, Jeffri Elkins, his daughter Lennon Elkins, and daughter Kristi Holzemer and her husband Chris, all of Nashville. Sisters Rita (Todd) Smith, Penny Adams, Pam Leffler, Sherry Fitts; brothers Charles, Ronnie, and Randy Ikemire. The cornerstone of the Jeffris, Ikemire, and Elkins families Vicki spent her career caring for others as a nurse. She had an innate ability for caretaking her entire life, having a hand in helping raise her siblings and all the kids in the family, which she considered each her own, exhibiting such selfless spirit she gave all she had to help them along the way, even having most all of them under her roof for some period of their life. She loved the outdoors, sports, motorcycles, the paranormal, and angels. She went out of her way for holidays, especially Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas where she would decorate the front yard, dress up to scare the children, and have gifts for any child that happened to visit the Elkins house during that year. Sundays she would make meals not unlike a holiday feast for anyone who may show up.
She fixed our cars, toys, clothes, hearts and minds and helped us realize a strong, intelligent, beautiful woman could run the show. We could always count on you to be in our corner, making sure we were treated fairly; even once telling the United States Army “No, my son is not working today.” She was the best at finding out what made us happy and would stop at nothing to make sure it was provided. With Aunt Vic our sports uniforms were too clean, our meals always plentiful, our adventures (like the Marlboro miles) memorable, gifts too abundant, and love never scarce.
We will never be able to replace the most selfless and devoted person of our lives, but we know you’re giddy finally learning the secrets of the pyramids, what’s up with the UFOs, and where is Bigfoot hiding?
We can take comfort in knowing you’re reunited with your angels that you would often talk to late nights and early mornings: Grandma’s J&I, soulmate Kenny, and your nephew Michael; you are already missed and we will always love you.
