Lack of Rainfall Creating Drought Conditions

The lack of rainfall across Indiana is increasing drought-like conditions in the state.

The latest U.S. Drought Monitor shows nearly the entire state is abnormally dry.

Almost 40% of the state is dealing with what is considered to be a “moderate drought.”

That covers places like Lafayette, Kokomo, and Terre Haute.

When moderate drought occurs, that usually means creek and pond levels are low and crop growth is stunted.
