The Loogootee Lady Lions Volleyball team grabbed a big win last night defeating the Bedford North Lawrence Stars

In a battle of two ranked teams, Barr Reeve won on the road over Tecumseh 28-26, 20-25, 25-19, 25-19.  Barr Reeve sectional ticket information for the 2A Eastern Greene tourney is on our Facebook page at WAMW.
The Washington Volleyball team grabbed win number 21 in straight sets at home last night topping Boonville 25-17, 25-19, 26-24.  The JV lost a tough one in two.  Washington plays in the Heritage Hills tournament tomorrow.
The IHSAA Football pairings were released last night from Indy for the upcoming sectional opening round which begins in two weeks on October 23.  Washington will open up hosting Pike Central in week one at Hatchet Hollow.  Brown County will face off with Edgewood.  Vincennes Lincoln travels to Owen Valley, and Princeton will take on Sullivan.

In the girls soccer sectional semi finals at North Knox yesterday, Washington Catholic advanced to the championship with a 2-1 win over Vincennes Rivet.  They will now face South Knox for the championship.  South Knox moved on with a 1-0 win over North Knox.  Championship is set for 2pm tomorrow afternoon at North Knox.  Good luck Lady Cardinals!
At Princeton last night in the 2A tournament, Jasper shut out Pike Central 3-0, while Vincennes Lincoln eliminated Princeton 2-1.  Jasper and Vincennes meet for the title at Princeton tomorrow.
The Hatchet Boys Soccer team will play for the 2A championship at Gibson Southern tomorrow night against undefeated Gibson Southern.  Kick off is set for 7pm, with live coverage at 6:45 pm Saturday night on Memories 107.9fm.
