Two Injured in Pick-up Crash on SR 257 South of Washington

Two Washington area residents were injured in a pick-up truck crash on SR 257 south of Washington Sunday afternoon.  
     Around 5:34 p.m. Sunday, Daviess County Dispatch received a call reporting a red truck in a ditch near New Veale Creek Cemetery.  On arrival, Deputies found two subjects trapped in the vehicle.  Deputies and first responders from the Washington Township Volunteer Fire Department were able to extract both victims from the truck.  Both were transported from the scene by Daviess Community Hospital Ambulance and then transferred to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville by medical helicopter.  The Daviess County Sheriff’s Department has not officially identified the crash victims.  WAMW will update this story when we have official notice from the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department.
