COVID-19 cases rise in Martin County

According to new numbers from the Indiana State Department of Health, Martin County is experiencing the highest number of community spread of the virus.  Julia Albright with the Martin County Health Department issued a statement yesterday.  She says “For the sake of your family, loved ones, and friends please stay home if you are sick.  We must take steps and precautions to keep those around us safe.  Wear a mask when you are around others, wash your hands frequently, and avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.  Based on new data released by the state this week, Martin County is still in the highest risk category.  Authorities are urging residents to use caution, and practice social distancing for the busy three day holiday weekend ahead.
