Gardens of Ketcham will open new Rose House today with private ribbon cutting

The Gardens of Ketcham will open its new Doris Malone Rose House officially today with a private ribbon cutting. Two special awards will be presented as part of the private ceremony today.
The Rose House is Ketcham Memorial Center’s new small house model and will serve as a residential home for 10 residents and a highly trained staff who live and work together. The project was made possible with a generous gift from the family of Doris Malone, who was a member of the Ketcham Memorial Center family as a resident from January 2016 to June of 2018. Her husband, Ray Malone gave the gift in memory of his wife because he treasured Ketcham’s staff for the excellent care provided to Doris.
The Rose House will include a residential living room, dining space with a large table, open kitchen and patio area, and private bedrooms and baths for each person. Family-style meals will be served where residents will have opportunity to help with meal prep and clean-up activities, with collaborative work processes for meal planning, cleaning, cooking, and laundry.
Residents will get medical care as needed, along with skilled therapies. Medication management and physician-directed medical care, dementia care, and hospice care services will also be available at the Rose House.
