Danny R. Burton, 74, of Odon, Indiana, passed away surrounded by his loving family, on Friday, May 10, 2024 at Washington, Indiana. He was born on May 28, 1949 in Connersville, Indiana to Walter F. and Sylvia V. (Pearce) Burton. Danny married the love of his life, Mary L. (Carpenter) Burton on January 14, 1972.
Danny was a truck driver and then worked at Odon Locker. He loved spending time with his family, watching westerns and listening to music, especially Elvis.
Family left to cherish the memories of Danny include: his wife, Mary L. Burton; two sons, Bobby Ray (Christina) Johnson and Danny Ray Burton, Jr.; two daughters, Sherry (Dave) Fisher and Sylvia Atchley (Jimmy Goad); eleven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren with two more on the way.
Danny was preceded in death by: his parents; one great-granddaughter; two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon with Adam Cissell officiating. Danny will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery in Elnora.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 and on Thursday from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Fairview Cemetery in Elnora. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
