On June 20, the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office reported a domestic incident near Holland, where David Williamson Jr., 63, allegedly shot a female victim.
The victim is in stable condition. On June 21, a citizen reported seeing Williamson’s truck in the Sugar Ridge Wildlife Area in Pike County.
Law enforcement from Dubois and Pike counties, along with Indiana State Police, searched the area.
Shortly after, officers found Williamson’s vehicle with him deceased inside.
An autopsy conducted on June 24 at Lamb-Basham Funeral Home in Oakland City determined that Williamson died by suicide.
