The Martin County Clerk has announced the last day to file to run for school board in the general election is Thursday at noon. There are still some open spots to fill. For the Loogootee school board at large, there is only one candidate, Brooke Hawkins, and there are two seats available. For Shoals District 2, Ethan Jones has filed. For Shoals District 3, Jerry Braun and Lorna Troutman will be running for the seat. And currently, there are no filings for Shoals District 5.
