The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a triple fatality traffic accident that occurred on Sunday, May 27th, 2024, at approximately 4:49 a.m. on I-69 near the 56.5-mile marker. The accident involved two vehicles, resulting in three fatalities from one vehicle. The driver of the second vehicle was transported to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville. The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to identify those involved, notify families, and reconstruct the accident. More information will be released as the investigation continues.
