19-year-old Avery Atkins and 18-year-old Breanna Britton were arrested in Jasper on April 26 at 3:37 AM at Sunoco Gas Station in Jasper for alcohol-related charges.
The Jasper Police Department responded to a call at the Sunoco Gas Station reporting a female stumbling into her vehicle. Upon locating the vehicle, the police conducted a routine traffic stop for traffic violations. During an investigation into operating while intoxicated, it was discovered that Atkins was a passenger in the vehicle. Atkins was found to be in violation of a protection order involving another individual in the vehicle, leading to charges of invasion of privacy and minor consumption of alcohol. Britton was transported to Memorial Hospital and Healthcare Center for a chemical test, where she tested .122 on a certified chemical test. Britton was charged with Operating While Intoxicated and Minor Consumption of Alcohol and lodged into the Dubois County Security Center. Atkins was lodged in the Dubois County Security Center following the arrest.
