On August 25, at 11:28 a.m., Gibson County Central Dispatch received reports of a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of County Road 400 South and County Road 350 West. Emergency personnel arrived on the scene to find one individual critically injured. Special Deputy Chuck Frederick’s initial investigation revealed that a Buick Century traveling northbound on County Road 350 West failed to yield the right of way to an eastbound Chevy Malibu on County Road 400 South, resulting in a right-angle collision. Despite efforts by the Gibson County Ambulance Service and Owensville Montgomery Township Fire to resuscitate one of the drivers, the individual was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver was transported to an Evansville area hospital for treatment.
