Our Community Foundation announced that four educators at Barr Reeve have been recognized as Foundation Teaching Innovators, receiving grants for their first-semester classroom projects. Jessica McConnell received a $250 grant to purchase supplies and equipment for student storytelling through mini-documentary projects. Jessica Guinn and Jordan Guinn each received $250 grants to purchase graphic novels for their classrooms. Stephen Bullock was awarded a $239 grant for six construction calculators to aid students in various aspects of construction work. The grants were funded by donations to the Jim and L Jane Norton Endowment, the Ken and Paula Jones Family Endowment, and the Administrative Support Fund.
