The Vincennes Police Department and Knox County Sheriff’s Office are ramping up efforts to combat impaired driving with their annual “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign. From August 16 through September 2, local officers, along with law enforcement across the state, will increase patrols and conduct sobriety checkpoints to target drivers under the influence of drugs or alcohol. In Indiana, impaired driving remains a significant issue, contributing to 20% of all traffic fatalities in 2023.
