Jasper, Indiana – Matthew Cornelius, a resident of Odon, has been rearrested following an ongoing investigation by the Indiana State Police. Cornelius was initially arrested in April 2024 on charges of stalking and drug possession, leading to a court-issued no-contact order to protect the female victim and her children. After his initial arrest, authorities received information that Cornelius had repeatedly violated the no-contact order. Based on this new evidence, detectives sought and obtained an arrest warrant from Knox County Superior Court. On August 8, Indiana State Police served the warrant at Cornelius’s residence on Demotte Drive in Odon. During the arrest, officers found probable cause for suspected illegal drug activity within the home. A search warrant was granted, leading to the discovery of illegal substances. Cornelius, 45, was arrested again and is now held in the Daviess County Jail.
