Vincennes Police Arrest Three in Connection to Shooting Incident

On July 22, at around 5:30 p.m., the Vincennes Police Department responded to a shooting at Autumn Ridge. While en route, officers were informed that a subject had arrived at Good Samaritan Hospital with a gunshot wound. The investigation revealed that two male suspects exited a vehicle driven by a female and fired multiple rounds into another vehicle occupied by three adults and two juveniles, including an infant. An adult male passenger was struck in the head and required surgery in Evansville. On July 23, the female driver, Madalyn Dennis, was arrested in Lawrence County, Illinois. On July 24, Calvin Wittmer was identified as one of the shooters and arrested after killing a person in an unrelated shooting on 14th Street in Vincennes. Kyvon Ahmed, the second shooter, was later located and taken into custody in Vincennes without incident.

Madalyn P. Dennis (23): 5 counts of Attempted Murder
Calvin J. Wittmer (18): 1 count of Murder, 5 counts of Attempted Murder
