Loogootee was recently included in the 252 communities that were awarded money through the community crossings matching grant. Loogootee Mayor Brian Ader said they were eager to apply for the grant and were lucky to be awarded the full amount of $1.5 million for the improvement of Loogootee’s roads.
The mayor said the grant will help the community fix one of their biggest issues, but he asks for patience from the residents as the process will take a few months.
