A 47-year-old man from Loogootee has been sentenced to ten years in federal prison after pleading guilty to Possession of Sexually Explicit Material Involving Minors. Court documents revealed that Ryan Watkins viewed and downloaded images of child sexual abuse material to his cell phone linked to an internet data storage platform between January and April of 2023. Investigators found over 600 images of minors under twelve years old engaged in sexually explicit conduct. Watkins was viewing the explicit material involving minors while still registered as a sex offender since his conviction for felony Child Molesting in Daviess County in May of 2010.
