Anita Kay Tromley

Anita Kay Tromley, a courageous and compassionate soul, passed away on February 13, 2024, having lived a full and inspiring life. Born on October 20, 1939, in Vincennes, Indiana, Anita Kay was a beloved daughter, wife, sister, and friend; a beacon of love and inspiration to all who were fortunate enough to cross paths with her. Her loving spirit was a testament to her unwavering faith, as she was a devoted member of the Community Church of Vincennes. As Corinthians 16:14 advises, “Let all that you do be done in love,” and indeed, Anita Kay embodied this principle throughout her life.
Anita Kay was a woman of many accomplishments. She was a graduate of Lockyear Business College and worked as a secretary for several years for REMC. Her entrepreneurial spirit led her to own and operate the Bible Book Store in Vincennes, alongside her devoted husband, Raymond Tromley, whom she married on May 6, 1960. Undoubtedly, it was Anita Kay’s compassionate nature that made her business a success, providing resources for others to deepen their faith. She was also a dedicated member of the church choir and an active participant in the United Methodist Women’s organization. Beyond her professional and religious commitments, Anita Kay also found joy in playing Bunco once a month with her family, a testament to her loving and jovial spirit.
Anita Kay is survived by her husband, Raymond Tromley of Vincennes; her sister, Nancy Brack and her husband Wayne of Evansville, as well as many loving nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Marie Dreiman. A visitation service will be held in honor of Anita Kay on Sunday, February 25, 2024, from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm EST at Community Church of Vincennes, 1548 South Hart Street Road, Vincennes, Indiana, 47591. The funeral service will take place on Monday, February 26, 2024, at 10:30am EST with visitation from 9:30 am until service time at the Community Church of Vincennes, located at 1548 South Hart Street Road, Vincennes, Indiana, 47591.
