ericbassler

State Sen. Eric Bassler (R-Washington) recently hosted local students at the Statehouse who served as Senate pages in January. The students, including Jackson Hinderliter from Washington Junior High School, Annie Hinderliter from Washington Upper Elementary School, Matthew Mason from Bloomfield Junior/Senior High School, and Gracyn Sounders from Carlisle Middle School, spent a day at the Statehouse touring the building, observing debates from the Senate floor, and interacting with their state senator. Sen. Bassler praised the students’ interest in state government, noting that the Page Program is an excellent way for them to learn about the legislative process. The program is open to students in grades six through 12, who participate on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays during the legislative session, with groups serving on Wednesdays.
