With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Cynthia Frankum, our loving and devoted mother, daughter, sister, and friend, on February 19, 2024. Born on September 1, 1960, in Washington, Indiana, Cynthia lived a life characterized by deep faith, love for music, and an unyielding commitment to her family. Her radiant spirit and unwavering kindness left memorable imprints on the hearts of everyone fortunate enough to have known her.
Cynthia was a woman of extraordinary talents and virtues. She was a gifted musician, and her ability to play the piano and organ brought joy and solace to many. Her passion for camping was infectious, and she loved nothing more than sharing this passion with her family. Cynthia was also a faithful wife to the late Rev. Anthony “Tony” Frankum. As a Pastors wife, she served her church, the Pilgrim Holiness Church, with dedication and love. She was a beacon of kindness and faith, embodying the verse from Proverbs 31:26, “She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.”
Her life was a living testament to her deep faith and love for her family. Cynthia was a proud graduate of Trinity Holiness Academy in Washington, Indiana, and her commitment to her faith was evident in her life’s work. She is survived by her daughter, Myleah Frankum; her parents, James and Shirley Clark; and her brother, James W. Clark and wife Sandra; grandson, Link; nephews and nieces, Jason W. Clark, Jeremy T. Clark and Tammy, Tiffany N. Scherschel and Josh, Debra K. Montgomery and Travis, James E. Clark and Hallie; and several great nephews and nieces. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Rev. Anthony “Tony” Frankum and sister Debra Clark; maternal grandparents, William and Grace Wildt and paternal grandparents, Owen and Malinda Clark.
Visitation will be held on Friday, 23 Feb 2024 at 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Goodwin-Sievers – Washington Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service on Saturday, 24 Feb 2024 at 11:00 am at the same location. Cynthia will be laid to rest at Aikman Creek Cemetery, Washington, Indiana, on Saturday, 24 Feb 2024 following her funeral service.
