Glenn E. Lengacher, 89, of Montgomery, passed away at 7:30 p.m. Monday, January 22, 2024 at his home.
He was born November 1, 1934 in Montgomery, Indiana to the late Joseph and Barbara (Stoll) Lengacher.
Glenn married Verda Wagler on May 19, 1957 and she survives.
He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Barbara (Stoll) Lengacher; daughters, infant Ruth Lengacher and Rita Knepp; parents, Joseph and Barbara Lengacher; siblings, Leroy (Orpha) Lengacher, Joseph (Margaret) Lengacher Jr., Edwin Lengacher, and Harold Lengacher; brother-in-law, John Marner.
He is survived by his wife, Verda Lengacher of Montgomery; children, Robert (Linda) Lengacher of Montgomery, Richard (Mary) Lengacher of Montgomery, Debra (Kevin) Swartzentruber of Loogootee, Christine (Dale) Graber of Montgomery, and Brenda (Phillip) Wagler of Montgomery; sisters, Sylvia (Lester) Marner, Betty Marner, and Ray (Cindi) Lengacher; 19 grandchildren, Lisa (Nathan) Stoll, Kimberly (Tim) Wagler, Mary Lynn (Steve) Knepp, Amy (Chris) Stoll, Stephanie (Ben) Tremont, Ryan (Tara) Lengacher, Brooke (Andrew) Stuckey, Rachel (Nathan) Raber, Logan (Emily) Lengacher, Trevor Lengacher, Tyler (Henley) Swartzentruber, Kaitlin Swartzentruber, Andrew Swartzentruber, Chelsea (Weston) Wagler, Kylen Graber, Ashton (Kailye) Wagler, Addison (Olivia) Wagler, Alec Wagler, and Aubrie Wagler; 37 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Simon (Catherine) Knepp; sisters-in-law, Delilah Lengacher, Katie Lengacher, and Mary Catherine Lengacher.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m. Thursday, January 25, 2024 at the Parson Event Center in Montgomery. Burial will follow in Stoll Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 23, 2024 and will continue until the time of service at the Parson Event Center.
