Drug Bust in Spencer County Leads to Arrests

After a comprehensive three-month investigation involving the Indiana State Police Drug Enforcement Section, Master Trooper Trey Lytton, the Spencer County Sheriff’s Office, and the Perry County Sheriff’s Office, arrest warrants were issued for Austin R. Adkisson and Justine S. Hayden. Both face charges of dealing in methamphetamine. On January 10, Master Trooper Lytton and the Spencer County Sheriff’s Office apprehended Adkisson during a traffic stop on SR 66, near Rockport. Simultaneously, officers arrested Hayden at her residence in Chrisney. A search of Hayden’s residence revealed approximately 103 grams of methamphetamine, marijuana, digital scales, paraphernalia, and a controlled substance. Both Austin R. Adkisson, 36, and Justine S. Hayden, 32, were arrested on charges of Dealing in Methamphetamine over 10 grams, Possession of Methamphetamine over 28 grams, Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Paraphernalia  and a Warrant: Dealing in Methamphetamine over 10.
