Speeding in the Rain Leads to Arrest of Washington Man

Dubois County — On Tuesday evening, January 9th, Trooper Nathaniel Kern spotted a vehicle traveling at an excessive speed on State Road 162. Trooper Kern clocked the vehicle at 86mph in a 55mph zone in rainy conditions. The driver, Jean Gedeus, 28, not only exceeded the speed limit but also made hazardous passes around multiple vehicles. Trooper Kern pulled over the vehicle and proceeded to arrest Gedeus for reckless driving. Subsequently, Gedeus was transported to the Dubois County jail, where he remains in custody pending bond.
