Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb will deliver his 2024 State of the State address tonight at 7 p.m. in front of a joint session of the General Assembly.
Lawmakers returned yesterday for the start of the new session.
The governor is expected to lay out his plan for childcare access and education outcomes in tonight’s address.
Holcomb wants to lower the minimum caregiver age at childcare facilities to include teenagers and begin administering the state’s reading test to second graders as an early indicator of where they stand and where they need to improve.
The State of the State is set for 7 p.m. tonight.
