Ronald C. “Ron” Cantrell

Ronald C. “Ron” Cantrell, 70, of Loogootee, Indiana passed away on Wednesday January 3, 2024, at Memorial Hospital and Healthcare in Jasper, Indiana surrounded by his family.
He was born on October 31, 1953, in Great Bend, Kansas to the late Hugh B. and Mary June (Coulter) Cantrell.
Ron was a United States Air Force Veteran. He was a member of  Calvary Baptist Church. Ron worked in construction for over 28 years in roofing and building for the local community. He drove a semi- truck for over 12 years, before “semi- retiring“ and driving for the Amish Community. Ron married Lisa (Worley) Cantrell on August 31, 1996. He loved the Lord, and spending time with his family. He was an avid Astros, Colts, and Longhorns fan.
Ron is preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Mary June Cantrell.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa Cantrell, his children, Sonja (Brian) Bridgewater, Lester (Haley) Cantrell, Eric (Crystal) Cantrell, his step- children, Autumn (Kelly) Rayhill, Kyle (Denise) Trambaugh, his grandchildren, Trevor, Mariah, Cruse, Logan, Colton, Emma, Cameron, Peyton, Chloe, Addyson, Ayden, Anistyn, Anderson, Carson, Brock, Taylin, Kallin, Colleen, Karcyn, 8 great- grandchildren, his siblings, Joann (Chuck) Jones, Randy Cantrell, Rhonda Dickens and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Saturday January 6, 2024, at 1:00 P.M at Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee, Indiana with Pastor Taj Eaton to officiate. Burial and military rights will follow in Houghton Cemetery in Loogootee, Indiana.
Visitation will be held on Saturday January 6, 2024, from 11:00 A.M until 1:00 P.M at Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee, Indiana.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Power house Youth Organization at Washington, Indiana in memory of Ron.
