Intoxicated Driver Closes I-70 Eastbound Yesterday

A man from Brooklyn, NY has been arrested following a semi-truck rollover crash on Interstate 70 in Putnam County.
According to Indiana State Police, the crash occurred at mile marker 48 of the eastbound lanes in Putnam County.  Sgt. Matt Ames said the vehicle, driven by Viacheslav Bambaev, 43, of Brooklyn, New York. Ames said the driver failed field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest after refusing to submit to certified chemical testing.
Investigating troopers found that the semi drifted to the south side of the roadway and caused the vehicle to roll over. The incident caused the right lane to be shut down while crews worked to clear the scene.  It took emergency crews roughly four hours before all lanes of travel were reopened. No injuries were reported.
