Linda L. Darcus 78 of Washington, Indiana went to her heavenly home on Monday, December 25, 2023.
Linda was born on June 29, 1945, to the late Laymon Hill and Eloise “Tillie” Ross Hill. She married Forrest W. Darcus on February 15, 1969.
Linda was a kind person who loved helping others as can be shown in her work as a CNA and QMA for Daviess County Hospital and most recently Eastgate Manor. She was a lifetime member of the Girl Scouts and also a Girl Scout Troop Leader. Linda loved spending time with her grandkids and singing. She was also a member of the Pleasant Grove Church.
Those left to mourn her loss are; children, Hope Martin of Washington, Misti Coatney (Toby) of Vincennes, Bradley W. Darcus (Stacy) of Montgomery; 9 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren; Sisters; Sandy Jones, Sherryl Osgatharp (Jim) and Marcella Melvin.
She was preceded in death by; husband, Forrest W. Darcus, who passed away on December 13, 2010; parents, Laymon Hill and Eloise Ross Hill; brother in law Hershel Jone; brother Steve Hill, and 2 sisters, Charlotte Hill and Norma Faith.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 28, 2023, from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Fredrick and Son-Gill Funeral Home. A service will follow also at the funeral home with Pastor Lowell Thomas officiating. Afterwards, Linda will be laid to rest in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.
