Yesterday, around 3 p.m., Cannelburg Fire, assisted by Montgomery, Washington Township, and Loogootee, responded to a house fire on County Road 375 South. The second story and roof were ablaze on arrival, and despite dedicated efforts, the fire led to a complete roof collapse, resulting in a total loss. Firefighters worked for approximately 4 hours, and the cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
