She was an avid reader and enjoyed playing hymns on her piano. Rosie, as she was affectionately called by many, was an excellent seamstress. She sewed for family, church events, and even made bridesmaids dresses. After many years of being a homemaker, she worked cleaning homes. She loved the Lord and her family.
She is survived by three daughters, Bonnie (Richard) Sikes and Brenda (Thomas) Tomson both of Greensburg, PA, and Darlene Chanley of Petersburg; daughter-in-law, Toni Mize of Petersburg: two sisters, Marilyn (Tom) Thorne of Winslow and June (Gerald) Loveless of Petersburg; three brothers, Ken (Patty) Fair of Greenwood, IN, Phil (Denise) Fair of Washington, and Don (Carol) Fair of Princeton; grandchildren, Joshua (Ava) Tomson, Justin (Bethany) Tomson, Jeremy Tomson, and Jacob Tomson all of Greensburg. PA, Leslie Mize of Petersburg, Andrea (Scott) Swim of Indianapolis, and Daniel Chanley of Vincennes; several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, David Mize; two brothers, Mike Fair and Marvin Fair; and a grandson, Jordan Tomson.
Graveside services will be conducted at 3 PM EST on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at Anderson Chapel Cemetery in Petersburg with Pastor Ron Ficklin officiating. Harris Funeral Home is entrusted with care.
