Huntingburg – In a communication to parents, Southwest Dubois School Superintendent Chip Mehaffey announced a transition in leadership at Southridge Middle School. The letter conveyed the resignation of Southridge Middle School Principal Chad Whitehead, citing personal reasons for his departure, effective this Friday. Current Southridge High School principal Greg Gogel will assume the role of interim principal starting this Tuesday. Gogel will concurrently continue his responsibilities as the high school principal during this interim period. Superintendent Mehaffey assured parents of an extensive search for a new middle school principal. The school corporation aims to introduce the appointed principal at the beginning of the upcoming second semester.
