Local Election Candidates For Daviess and Martin Counties: Polls Open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tomorrow

Tomorrow is Election Day, and the polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. to vote. In Washington, there is one race for mayor featuring incumbent Dave Rhoads and his challenger, Jerry Sidebottom.
Elnora will have a town board race that features six candidates vying for three town board seats. The candidates include Republican Matthew Rollins and a diverse slate of Independents: Nancy Roark, incumbent Jesse Emmons, incumbent Jerry Beck, Cathy Thompson, and Veronica Ault.
In Loogootee, several races will be on the ballot. Current Loogootee Mayor Noel Harty is facing a challenge from former Mayor of the City Brian Ader. Clerk/Treasurer Roger Downey will go against challenger Lori Carrico. In the City Council Races, At Large Buck Holland is going to challenge incumbent Ron Gilbert; Teresa Nolley will face a challenge in District 1 from Mike Engleman; in District 2, Tim Biggin Lawrence will face off with challenger David Smith; in District 3, Carroll Rayhill will go against challenger Tim Hudson; and in City Council District 4, it’s Katie Doyle facing off with Mark McAtee.
There are also a few contested races in Knox County and Pike County in tomorrow’s municipal election as well. Don’t forget to get out and vote, as polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. all day tomorrow. Tune in for the results, WAMW, and WRZR.
