Senate District 39 Communities Receive $4.6M in Road-Funding Grants

Communities in Senate District 39 are set to receive a boost for road and bridge improvements with nearly $4.6 million in grants via the Community Crossings Matching Grant Program (CCMG). State Sen. Eric Bassler (R-Washington) made this announcement, and here’s a breakdown of the grants awarded to Senate District 39 communities:
Bicknell: $980,658
Martin County: $367,724.
Monroe City: $54,900
Vincennes: $1 million
Wheatland: $44,813.27
Bruceville: $95,681.25
Bloomfield: $177,367.50
Carlisle: $56,179.50
Greene County: $1 million
Jasonville: $365,297.23
Worthington: $452,933.04
The CCMG program operates on a matching basis, with the Indiana Department of Transportation providing up to $1 million annually to localities. Counties with populations under 50,000 and cities and towns with populations below 10,000 receive a 75%/25% match, while counties with populations exceeding 50,000 and cities and towns with populations above 10,000 receive a 50%/50% match.
