Legendary Indiana Coach Bob Knight passed away yesterday at 83 years old. Coach Knight was born in 1940 in Orrville, Ohio and had stints coaching Army and Texas Tech as well as Indiana on the way to winning 902 games and his teams won 11 Big 10 titles, made 5 Final Fours and won 3 NCAA championships.
 
Girls Basketball Tonight
Tonight it’s Lady Jug Rox basketball on Razor Radio Sports. Coach Kyle Turpin and the Lady Jug Rox host Coach Joey Riggins and the ND Lady Cougars.
Tomorrow night the Lady Hatchets open up in a major test at home vs North Knox MEMORIES 107.9 DEWAYNE AND STEVE BROTHERS. Varsity game time has been moved to 7:00 pm. Due to injuries North Knox only has enough to play 2 quarters of JV ball.
New rules in JH and HS basketball this season. No more one and one foul shots. Teams will now shoot two free throws for common fouls when in the “bonus.” Bonus is now five fouls in a quarter, and the fouls will reset at the end of each quarter.
 
IU women were in exhibition play last night at Assembly Hall versus Northwood. They win 111-68 shooting 63% from the field. IU opens up on Nov 9th versus Eastern Illinois.
 
Purdue men played an exhibition game at a sold out Mackey Arena against Grace College and Barr Reeve’s Brycen Graber. Purdue wins 98-51. Graber played 19 minutes and had 3 points and 6 assists.
 
The Las Vegas Raiders are done with Josh McDaniels and David Ziegler. In the first head coach firing of the season the Raiders announced late Tuesday night that they had parted ways with McDaniels, the head coach, and Ziegler, the general manager, after the franchise fell to 3-5 this season. The announcement came one day after the Raiders lost to the Detroit Lions 26-14.
 
The 1st College Football Playoff rankings are out Ohio State debuts at No. 1 ahead of Michigan, Georgia and Florida State. The semi finals are set for Monday, Jan. 1,at the Rose Bowl and the Sugar Bowl with the title game a week later on Jan. 8 in Houston.
