Emergency Response and Quick Fix for Gas Leak in Maysville

Crews were on the scene throughout the night at a gas leak in Maysville, west of Washington. The leak occurred early last night when a farmer hit a main line with a tillage tool. The 10” high pressure line feeds the river bottoms to Loogootee, so crews from CenterPoint Energy were called in while keeping the line live. Nearby residents were advised, but no evacuations were ordered. The road was closed from the tracks past the trailer court during the leak. The leak has been repaired as of this morning, and the roadway is reopened to traffic. Thanks to all the line crews and emergency team for a long night and getting it fixed.
