Shoals – This Halloween, the Town of Shoals is teaming up with the Shoals JugRox Robotix Team to bring an exciting pumpkin carving contest to the community. This year, the theme is “Masterpiece.” The purpose of “Masterpiece” is to challenge robotics teams to explore innovative ways to create and communicate art through STEM. This contest offers individuals of all ages an opportunity to showcase their artistic skills on pumpkins. Carved pumpkins, along with your name and phone number, can be dropped off at the Shoals Town Hall on Thursday, October 26th, and Friday, October 27th, between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Judging is scheduled for Friday, October 27th, at 4 PM, and participants do not need to be present. The judging is open to all ages and will include the following categories: Most Original, Most Creative, Silliest, and Spookiest. Generous prizes are sponsored by the JugRox Robotix team. All the creatively carved pumpkins will be proudly displayed at the Shoals Town Hall during the Town of Shoals Trick-or-Treat event on Friday, October 27th, from 6 PM to 9 PM.
