Drug Bust Following Traffic Stop in Vigo County

In Vigo County, a routine traffic stop near Paris and National Ave in West Terre Haute led to the discovery of a substantial amount of drugs. The stop occurred just after 2:30 am on a Friday morning. West Terre Haute Police apprehended two individuals during the stop: Andrew Brown and Vermont Johnson. Upon searching the vehicle, the officers uncovered over two pounds of meth, more than three pounds of THC, and 120 grams of marijuana wax. Both suspects have been detained in the Vigo County Jail and are now facing multiple drug-related charges, including possession of controlled substances. Additionally, Andrew Brown has been charged with dealing meth. This investigation involved collaboration between the West Terre Haute Police, the Vigo County Sheriff’s Office, and its K-9 unit.
