WPD 2nd Shift Removes Gun from Streets

On October 13, at around 5:36 PM, officers from the Washington Police Department’s 2nd shift responded to a report concerning an armed juvenile in the 1700 block of West Walnut near Heaven’s Kitchen. Upon arriving at the scene, witnesses informed the officers that the juvenile had fled on foot, heading east through the alley. Witnesses provided a description of both the juvenile and the handgun. The officers located the juvenile in the vicinity of the 1200 block of McCormick Avenue and subsequently retrieved a .40 caliber handgun from a nearby residence. The juvenile was taken into custody without any issues.
