Jeffrey Lynn Barrett, Sr., 64, passed away at his residence on October 3, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. Jeff was born on August 22, 1959 in Scottsburg, IN and he is the son of John Carl and Freda June (Bridgewater) Barrett. He married Cheryl Ann Miller on July 5, 1998.
Jeff was a forklift operator for Schott Gemtron Corporation before his retirement. He was a member of the Bicknell French Club, loved watching NASCAR, the Indianapolis Colts, Gun Smoke and pitching horseshoes. Most importantly though, Jeff loved being around his family.
Survivors include his wife, Cheryl Barrett of Bicknell, his sons, Shawn Barrett of Bicknell, Jeff Barrett II of Bicknell, Cody Crawford and his wife Erika of Vincennes, Jade Barrett of Vincennes; his siblings, Helen Wilson of Jackson, GA, Mark Barrett of Florida, Johnny Barrett of Seymour, IN, Frank Barrett of Vincennes, Jesse Barrett of Vincennes; half-sister Jenette Barrett of Colorado and nine grandchildren. Jeff is preceded in death by his parents, John and Freda Barrett and two brothers, David and Larry Maupin.
Friends may visit with Jeff’s family from 11:00 am until the hour of service time of 1:00 pm on Friday, October 6, 2023 at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 524 Broadway, Vincennes, IN.
