Double Fatality in Head-On Collision on US 50

Montgomery, Indiana A tragic head-on collision occurred on US 50 at McCracken’s curve, west of Montgomery, Indiana, on September 28th, around 1:46 p.m. Daviess County Central Dispatch received the distressing call, prompting a rapid response from Daviess County Deputies. The preliminary investigation suggests that a 2016 Hyundai Elantra, traveling westbound on US 50, inexplicably veered left of center and collided head-on with a 2018 Chevy Silverado. The driver of the Hyundai Elantra, identified as 20-year-old Allison Potts from Washington, and the front-seat passenger, Braydyn Baker, 23 years old, also from Washington, were both tragically pronounced deceased at the accident scene. Their families have been informed. James Clark, the driver of the Chevy Silverado, aged 68 and hailing from Washington, sustained severe injuries and was airlifted to Deaconess Midtown Hospital for treatment.
