Indiana State Police Investigate Inmate Death in Bloomfield Jail

A recent inmate death in Greene County has prompted an investigation led by the Indiana State Police. The deceased, identified as Jack Farmer, 44, was discovered unresponsive in the Greene County Jail on July 23rd. Jail staff and Bloomfield Police administered CPR, and he was subsequently transferred to the jail’s general hospital. Farmer passed away at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville over the weekend of July 29th. Authorities have refrained from speculating on the cause of Farmer’s unresponsiveness or the factors contributing to his death. At the request of the Greene County Sheriff’s Office, the Indiana State Police are now heading the investigation.
