Tuesday evening, Trooper Andrew Watson apprehended Humberto Mora Lopez, 42, from Washington, on charges of OWI Controlled Substance. The arrest was made after Lopez was stopped for driving left of center and nearly causing an accident. Trooper Watson detected signs of impairment during the encounter, and further investigation confirmed the presence of benzodiazepines (depressants) in Lopez’s system. The incident occurred on August 1st.
