Evansville Parents Facing Felony Neglect Charges After Infant Son Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries

Evansville residents, 23-year-old Cheyenne Elmore-Sitz and 31-year-old Javontae Goldsby, are facing felony neglect charges following life-threatening injuries sustained by their infant son. The young boy, hospitalized at Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis, suffered a broken skull and is currently fighting for his life. Vanderburgh County Sheriff Noah Robinson expressed that the infant’s survival is uncertain, and in the tragic event of his passing, the charges against the parents could escalate to even more severe consequences. Both parents could potentially face years in prison if convicted of felony neglect of a dependent resulting in catastrophic injury.
