Work Dispute Leads to Stabbing and Arrest at Baymont Inn in Washington

A work dispute led to a stabbing and an arrest yesterday morning at the Baymont Inn in Washington. The Daviess County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene around 6:30 a.m. yesterday, where 35-year-old Logan Knapik was allegedly stabbed in the abdomen by a co-worker on his construction crew, 45-year-old Timucin Karca from New Jersey. Knapik was taken to the hospital for treatment and was in stable condition, while Karca was taken into custody for battery by means of a deadly weapon and battery causing serious bodily injury. Deputy Steve Sturgis says the incident was a dispute between the two individuals, and Karca was taken into custody without incident.
