New Legislation Aims to Empower Small Businesses in the Digital Era

Helping small businesses compete in the digital space is the goal of new legislation proposed by your senator, Todd Young. The Small Business Technological Advancement Act would allow small businesses to use money from the Small Business Administration’s loan program to finance new technology. That technology would include things like inventory management, product delivery, and accounting systems. Democrat Jacky Rosen, Republican Ted Budd, and Democrat Jeanne Shaheen backed Senator Young. Loan borrowers can finance business software or cloud computing services for the following: Facilitating daily operations; Product or service delivery; Processing, payment, and tracking of payroll expenses; Human resources; Sales and billing functions; and/or Accounting or tracking of supplies, inventory, records, and expenses.
