Man Seriously Injured in Shooting Incident at Bloomington Subway Restaurant

A shooting incident at a Subway restaurant in Bloomington on Saturday afternoon left a man seriously injured. The incident occurred at the Subway located in the 1800 block of N. Kinser Pike, south of Cascades Golf Course. Upon arrival, officers discovered a man with a gunshot wound to the chest outside the restaurant near the dumpsters. Emergency medical services were immediately summoned, and the injured man was transported to a local hospital for urgent medical treatment. Authorities later identified the suspect as 22-year-old Sean Rivers, an employee at the Subway establishment. According to witnesses, an altercation ensued between Rivers and the victim regarding the parking of the victim’s vehicle. Witnesses reported hearing a single gunshot before observing Rivers reenter the restaurant, gather his belongings, and flee the scene. Law enforcement located Rivers at a residence on Northlane Drive, which was less than a mile away from the Subway restaurant. Rivers was arrested and taken into custody by the Bloomington Police Department. He now faces a charge of attempted murder.
